Drywall: 20 sheets of 1/2-inch × 8-ft, delivered and ready before he arrives (order from Lowe's 2–3 days ahead).
Foyer paint: mask all the trim, sand the paneling and wash off the dust, then a primer base coat and then paint. About 3 gallons of each. Buying the paint at Sherwin-Williams (getting a deal).
