Next steps

  • Call Corinth Street Dept: can the church use Adopt-A-Truck ($75 / 3 days), and where does C&D rubbish go?

    To do

Pile from pulling up the lobby and hallway carpet: old carpet, pad, tack strip, some wood paneling and trim. About 6–10 cubic yards, light (likely under a ton), about 2–3 pickup loads. The auditorium carpet won't come out until next year, so this is a one-time job: hauling it ourselves is likely cheapest.

Notes

  • Self-haul with the truck: about 2–3 loads. Tarp and strap each load (carpet pad blows out).
  • Rough cost comparison (estimates): self-haul $0–50 per load · city Adopt-A-Truck $75 (posted) · city dumpster $75–100 per dump (posted) · junk removal about $350–650 · private 10-yard dumpster about $300–500 for about 7 days.
  • Leave the tack strip with the carpet; nails point down if you roll the carpet with the pad side out.
